Bun Sale at Belvoir!

Remember that there will be a bun/cake sale at Spring Cup 1 at Belvoir this Saturday (1st March) so bring along something nice to sell.

Score and Night Championships

On Saturday 22nd February almost 50 LVOers made the trip to Loughrey College and MUSA, just outside of Cookstown, for the NI Score Championships. The area was a mixture of buildings, farmland and tricky woodland, in which runners had 50 minutes to collect as many of the 28 controls as possible, with points deducted for being late back.

Top performances of LVO juniors went to James Millar and Jill Stephens, winning the Junior M and W classes, with Harry Earnshaw, Matthew Smith, Peter Reed, Andrew Elwood, Rachel Collins, Sophie Pružina and Clare Reid all in the top 5 in their class.

Afterwards was the NIOA Prize Giving, with LVO scooping all the junior prizes from the NI Champs, and a few in the Colour Series too!

Once it got dark, it was time for the Night Championships - more tricky orienteering on the same area, but in the dark. James Millar was 4th on the A course, and Peter McClure and Andrew Elwood 2nd and 3rd on the C.

2013 Junior Incentive Scheme Results

The Junior Incentive Scheme results for 2103 have been run through our calculating machine and after several days of hard work the results are now available on the Incentive Scheme page.  Well done to everyone who qualified for an award in 2013. You all did very well. Certificates will be issued at the club AGM in early 2014. A big thank you goes to Geoffrey C, manager of the calculating machine, without whom we would not have any results collated.
